Conditions of booking

1                    Payment of a deposit is regarded as acceptance of all the conditions of booking.

2                    All amounts of invoices that have been issued must be paid no later than four weeks prior to the visit. Unauthorised late payments may be subject to interest, charged at a rate of 1.5% per calendar month or part thereof.

3                    If it is necessary to cancel a booking, we must be notified as early as possible. Cancellations of all or of individual places are subject to the following charges: Loss of deposit only for notification more than 56 days before the tour begins. Loss of 30% of the total tour price for 56-29 days. Loss of 45% of the total tour price for 28-15 days. Loss of 60% of the total tour price for 14-2 days. 100% of the total tour price for 1 day, or on or after the start of the tour.

4                    We do not accept liability for personal injury or the death of any participant, nor any damage or loss resulting therefrom, unless caused by the proven negligence of the company or its servants. We do not accept liability for the loss or damage to any property belonging to or travelling with a participant. We do not accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel services, sickness, weather, riots, strikes, quarantine, war, or any other causes. We act as agents for transportation principals and hostels / hotels, from whom detailed conditions of carriage and liabilities are available.

5                    London Explorers will not be liable for any additional costs resulting from an accident or illness during a visit.

6                    All schools and colleges are advised to consult their Education Authority about insurance to cover injury, death, loss of personal items and cancellation etc.

7                    Although we will always try to adhere to the programme that has been agreed, it is subject to alteration when adverse weather conditions are prevalent, or factors beyond our control make a change necessary. We therefore reserve the right to substitute alternative venues or hostel / hotels in these circumstances.

8                    We reserve the right to increase prices in the event of conditions that may arise that are beyond our control.

9                    Schools or colleges are responsible for any tickets, entrance fees, or charges that have been prepaid by London Explorers for which a refund is unobtainable.
